Our People
Our principal, Andrew Baggio, has over 12 years domestic and international experience in complex commercial and tax law. BackgroundBefore returning to Adelaide in 2004, Andrew practised corporate and structured finance, tax and banking law for many years for Baker & McKenzie, a major international US law firm in Hong Kong. Prior to that, Andrew practised taxation and corporate law for Allen & Overy, a major international UK law firm in London. ExpertiseAndrew is an internationally experienced and highly regarded commercial lawyer. In addition, he is an expert in Australian federal and South Australian state taxes. Andrew’s combined experience as a tax lawyer and commercial/transactional lawyer is unique in a world where tax lawyers are often criticized for being uncommercial and ‘not being in the real world’. QualificationsAndrew has Bachelor degrees in Law (LLB) and Arts (BA) from the University of Adelaide. He has a Graduate Certificate in Legal Practice (GCLP) from the University of South Australia. Andrew has a Masters degree in Taxation (MTax) from the University of New South Wales and is a Fellow of the Tax Institute of Australia (FTIA).
